According to the congressional budget office the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will cost the American tax payer over 2.5 trillion dollars in the next decade. Our debt to the Chinese is one trillion dollars, Japan owns 769 billion, UK owns 170 billion add a few more billion dollars here and there and total debt owned by foreigners is about 2.37 trillion dollars…depending on who you believe. Personally I think the foreign owned American debt is closer to 4 trillion plus. Once you start adding Russia, India, Bush’s buddies in the Middle East and some of the EU rich countries/financial institutions, the American debt becomes so large it loses its relevance…however, not its global destructive effects. But what do I know? I am just an 800 pound gorilla on the Internet.
Of course it doesn’t matter how much we owe…our government in its infinite wisdom just keeps printing bonds and paper money and keeps borrowing using the American taxpayer as its collateral. Ever since Nixon took the USA and consequently the world off the gold standard our economy has being sinking into the financial quicksand at the speed of light. Since the end of the Second World War we have been instigating political and military conflicts around the globe making American industrialists and financiers richer while the masses make the ultimate sacrifice of life and livelihood. And am supposed to feel proud of being an American? Proud that I can’t walk down the streets of any country without fearing being shot or kidnapped? Proud when I can’t wear anything that would identify me as American when outside the USA? How can I be proud when the rest of the world blames America for everything that’s gone wrong here and everywhere else?
Do you feel proud being American? Do you really still think we are a super power? We have the most technologically advanced weaponry, the best military expertise, the best intelligence gathering equipment but yet, we can’t defeat a hundred Al Qaeda fighters and a bunch of backward opium addicts in Afghanistan. Do any of you realize that we haven’t won a single war since 1945 when we had the entire world helping us out? Unless of course you call the mess in Iraq a VICTORY. Think about that. The only wars we ever win are on the silver screen and video games. Still think we are the biggest super power?
It’s time to do something about this country of ours before it’s too late….if it’s not too late already. Time for new leaders in Washington. New ideas in business, new concepts in sciences and a new financial system which doesn’t reward the crooks and doesn’t punish the victims. Forget the Democrats and forget the Republicans they are both bitches of the same master. And most definitely forget the redneck bushwhackers making up the T- party posy whose only interest is their constitutional right to be stupid and carry guns. Hell…we may as well live in the middle ages.
Again this is not news…it’s the American Disaster!
we are the only economy in the world which is base on a currency made of hot air. In real terms our debt exceeds our GDP worst than Greece but somehow we cook the numbers so well that to the idiots in this country and abroad we look like we are still in good shape. The collapse of this economy will happen. It's not a matter of "if" it's a matter of "when".
