Hello Blog Zoners!
Like most normal people, I had decided to take a few days off and go somewhere for some RNR. You know how it is. Sooner or later we all need to just get away from it all. Get away from all that daily stuff that either gets on our nerves or just simply gets us down. We all need a bit of an escape every now and then. So I did. I shut down my computer, my home, and my brain and went somewhere warm and just simply vegetated by the beach. Stayed away from news good and bad, exciting and boring! It was very nice. Very nice indeed. I even thought to myself….”wouldn’t it be nice if when I get back to the real life, all this economic tsunami and political bullshit, will, somehow, have worked itself out? Wouldn’t it be nice if all I had to face each day were sunny days filled with only good news and BBQ’d steaks.” Well my friends it wasn’t meant to be. I get home and log on to my computer to check my emails… and there they were. News letters and news bleeps, and news links and news videos, all about the same negative bullshit I ran away from in the first place. What the hell! Is this financial volcanic eruption ever going to end? People, governments, countries, presidents, prime ministers, bankers, investors popes, patriarchs, ayatollahs, generals, admirals, reporters, lawyers, criminals, police forces, investors – crooked and honest ones….doesn’t anyone have a goddamn solution? Or at least a fucking idea of how to improve things?
I sound pissed off don’t I? A well, I’ll be ok. It will take me a couple of days to adjust and re-enter the same mad mad world I left. And to start the week I shall share with you some of the most outrageous news articles I came across upon my return.
For those of you who have a strong stomach here we go. Check the following links and please tell me if you, like myself, think, This is an F.W.G.M (Fucking World Gone MAD)!
Sweden now will be charging people to put their money in the bank

In Japan they are contemplating abolishing money

And there are “rumours” the United States are covertly stock pilling foreign currencies…hmm why would they be doing that? Do they know something we don’t…like the total collapse of the green buck?

From the Desk of Dr. Politikong...Over and Out!
Best investigative reporting on the net.
ReplyDeleteVery soon you'll be offered a job with the NY Times to shut you up.
Fantastic blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with first anonymous. Excellent blog.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us if you are a man or a woman and what is your academic background. I would guess you are an investigative reporter or a lawyer. The content of your postings is always very informative and well researched but yet very easy to follow. The only criticism I have is your -special words- but I can live with that because I love your style.
I hope you are a man and someday you will show us your real photo. I am a girl (single) and I have been following your blog for sometime now!
Anna
hey kong I like the new look. You had a color job and a manicure done. That's what you are doing right? showing off the manicure? Looks good on you man.
ReplyDeleteOn a serious note, another good informative article. I hope all these are just rumours because if they real god help us.
Thanks for the info.

I don't know about all this shit. One minute they tell you things are improving the next minute they come up with all these reports which tell you things are getting worst. I wish some one other than politikong tells us what's really happening.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dr. you are my Tylenol and my information source.
Your should consider including a "contributions" link to your blog similar to some other successful political blogs on the net.
ReplyDeleteI will gladly cancel my subscription to the NY Times and follow your blog for a fee.

I've noticed that lately the Times is resorting more to personal reflection, rather than straight news reporting, to try to win back some of its readers. Their online readership is declining and their print readership shrinking, and they ultimately would like to emulate and compete with "truth" blogs like this one.

Fantastic information. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSir/Madam, How can one sign onto your blog so one is informed directly every time you post? This is the first time I read your work and it's very good. Once I signed on I went and read all your previous postings. Strange style of writing but very good. I tried to sign up with your "followers" field but it didn't work. Or does it take a couple of days to show? Please inform!
