| Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades Talking from the side of his mouth as always! |
NOBODY. Investors are not
stupid. They are greedy and that’s a safety mechanism built into any smart
investor’s psyche. They want profits (very large profits) and deposit
guarantees for their investments. Would
you invest in Cyprus? I wouldn’t. Once they
lose confidence in the Cypriot banking sector (which they have now), where do
you think they will be taking their money? My guess would be German and other European
banks.
WHAT can the Cypriots do
now, in order to regain their economic growth, financial stability and banking
sector confidence? NOTHING. There is nothing they can do because the German dick found its way up Mr. Anastasiade’s ass and liked it so much it is going to stay there for a long time feeling warm and fuzzy. The Cypriot economy will be in a cryonic sleep for the next forty five years and the Cypriot people will become the beggars of Europe always on their knees asking their German masters for breadcrumbs and hand-outs.
WHEN will the Cypriot Economy start growing again?
Never. Minimum
ten to fifteen years if they are lucky, maybe longer. When the catastrophe of 1974 (Turkish
invasion) occurred, the economy recovered within a couple of years. The reason it recovered so quickly was
because you had a “forced” economic growth brought on by the huge
RECONSTRUCTION projects that were needed to accommodate the displaced
population from the north. The
mobilization and relocation to the south,
of a quarter of a million refugees and the provision of services required by those
people, created an economic boom that had not been seen anywhere since the end
of WWII. An economic boom fueled by the
destruction of war. If there were ever a riddle inside an enigma
Cyprus (1974) would have to be it. If
you were ever looking for the definition of determination the Cypriot people
would be it. If you were ever looking for a hub of innovation Cyprus would be
it.
The construction industry went on steroids. Immediate housing for a quarter of a million
domestic refugees was a task of colossal proportions. Services for those people, consumer goods for
those people, bank accounts for the money those people brought with them,
investment capital those people brought with them, innovative ideas those
people brought with them - it all helped to create an economic boom which
lasted for forty years. A boom which would have lasted another forty years had
it not been for the utterly stupid decision by the Cypriots to join that malignancy
called EU/EUROZONE. New roads new
buildings new businesses, new services, it was the typical fast paced growth Europe
and North America experienced after the destruction of WWII. As bad as the 1974 Turkish invasion was, it
was also the catalyst for the incredible growth the Greek southern Cyprus came
to enjoy for the last four decades.
There is not going to be any reconstruction this time because the Island
is already saturated with new homes, new roads, new dams, new hotels, new resorts, new state of the art communication
networks, new hospitals, new Universities, colleges, schools and new EVERYTHING
a modern society would need to be a success.
There will not be a RECONSTRUCTION project this time and that is why
this recession will last for a long long long time. Cyprus had built a reputation for political
and financial stability and with a stroke of the pen Mr. Anastasiades flushed it
all down the toilet. Nice work bozo!
Forward to TODAY….
Where will the Cypriots (those
who may still have a job and an income), and the foreign depositors deposit
their money now?
Not in Cypriot banks I
guarantee you that much. I can see Swiss
banks, German banks, Canadian and American banks, Saudi and Asian banks
starting to roll out the red carpet. And believe me not even Fräulein Merkel
will have any reservations accepting all that dirty Russian money. Mr.
Anastasiades committed treason and should be tried and convicted by the Cypriot
people. Mr. President you are an idiot
of Olympian proportions. You have
allowed Merkel to brand you like Texan cattle…with the swastika branding iron. I am sure the people you betrayed will repay
you in kind and time.
WHY will it take Cyprus a
very very long time to recover?
Nicos Anastasiades in all
his “lack of wisdom” destroyed the reputation of the same banking system he was
trying to save. The German morons and their European bitches who
are the perpetrators of this crisis, will come to realize that the only thing
they have accomplished with their political games, is to take an avertable
temporary crisis and turned it into a permanent economic catastrophe for Cyprus.
These are the facts about the Cypriot economy. The economy is based on three sectors: Tourism, financial services, and shipping. The three are mutually dependent and if one is
decimated the other two will be negatively impacted too. You fuck the one up you fucked the others. There is no export industry worth mentioning
in Cyprus. There is no heavy industry,
light industry, or consumer goods export industry of great value. Shipping, Tourism and financial services is
all they have. So one can easily see
that destroying the Banking sector of the Island you are basically destroying the
entire economy. They have a potential natural gas and oil
industry but that’s ten years down the road…and any money generated from those resources
will now be swallowed by the German black hole known as “bail-out”. So the Cypriots owe a great debt of gratitude
to their President, their government officials and the EU. The Cypriots could have chosen to make a HISTORIC SACRIFICE on Sunday by turning down the bail-out. Instead they chose to SACRIFICE their HISTORY and all they got in return was permission to stay in the EURO-ZONE, burying themselves into a bigger hole. They truly are masters of their own demise!

Mr. Politikong, in Cyprus we have a saying, it is easy to criticize a dancer if you are not on the dance floor your self. It is the Cypriot people who will suffer if we do not accept the deal. Now things will go back to being normal in our lives.

ReplyDeleteyou are the reason Cyprus is in the mess they are in. You don't see what is happening in your own country. If you think that things now are going to go back the way they were I hate to tell you my friend but you are what DrP calls idiots. Wake up.

ReplyDeleteThe worst remains to come, ur right kypros. The cypriot government sold the people out to remain in a clique that will eventually be rendered irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteMaybe DPK should be a political consultant to these mediterranean countries?
Funny picture. Too bad the prez wasnt more like the ass...at least the ass has a stubborn will and cant be made to do what it doesnt want to do.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing that upsets me more than to see Cyprus being kicked around by the Germans and as the gorilla said "their bitches". If it wasn't for the poor countries of southern Europe becoming the dumping ground for German products the Nazi economy would had been in the outhouse.

I am a second generation Cypriot Canadian and it irks me very much to see the birthplace of my parents turned into a circus for the entertainment of the damn Germans. Maybe is time to take Cypriot shoushouko and stuff it up every German's ass.
ReplyDeleteHere is an idea, round up every German who lives in Cyprus throw them off the Island and confiscate all their cash, properties and business. Fuck the bastards.

Hey Kong is this turning into a Cypriot blog? You must be doing a good job man
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you guys are talking about it's all Greek to me hahahahahahah.
ReplyDeleteThe point is that Cyprus should have shown some balls and said no. Either way the country will go through hardship no matter what. At least if you had said no you would have taken the Germans down with you.

I am afraid we haven't seen the end of this crisis. In fact this is only the beginning. The German alliance will live to regret what they have done and Mr. Mario Draghi of the ECB will be resigning by the end of April. Guarantee.

For those Cypriots who think that thinks will go back to normal think again because it's not only individual deposits that are being hijacked it's also business accounts. When business lose so much money they close down and go else where. Cyprus will suffer the highest unemployment of all Europe. Good luck to all of you. You thought your economic pain will be milder with the bail-out, think again. You are on an aeroplane at forty thousand feet and your engines have fallen off and no airbags or seat-belts can save you. You are coming down nose first for a crash landing. Believe me soon you are going to wish you had defaulted instead of taking the hand-outs.

Kong is absolutely right. Call a spade a spade. The intention of the Germans was from the start to divert investment from Cyprus to German banks. There are rumours that the German economy is going south and they are going to need deposits for their banks. That makes those Russian deposits in Cyprus very attractive and easily transferable to Germany if Cypriot banks become disreputable.
