The Road To Zimbabwe Goes Through Athens.

Greece has become (or will soon become the Zimbabwe of Europe).   It is an undisputed fact that the country is sinking and has been sinking deeper and deeper into financial oblivion for the last five years. Unfortunately, Greece will not be the only country cruising on the highway to nowhere…the rest of the PIIGS are following close behind.  The Germans, the French and to a lesser degree the Brits, have benefited greatly from peripheral Europe, aka Club Med aka PIIGS etc.  In fact, France and Germany are the main culprits in the EU crisis. 

Because their own economies (not so long ago) were, in- shall we say- financial distress, they incentivized the corrupt leaders (politicians, bankers and corporate executives) of the Club Med nations, to borrow billions of euros they couldn’t afford by providing them with the irresistible urge of vast amounts of cheap money.  That of course became the impetus that turned the populace of these countries into compulsive consumers and reckless debtors.  

This Franco-German conspiracy, managed, through bribery and/or blackmail of officials-private and governmental alike, to provide the PIIGS with billions and billions of low interest money, and in exchange, these countries agreed to make big purchases of German and French   manufactured goods.  So while the Franco-German economies were growing by producing and exporting to the PIIGS, the PIIGS economies were shrinking by borrowing and importing from Germany and France.  Who do you think won this ball game? Wow!!! You are really smart. You figured it out…it wasn’t the south.

While the PIIGS were selling the Germans and the French grapes, oranges, olives and tomatoes and cucumbers, the Germans and the French were selling the PIIGS Mercedes, Jet fighters, tanks, submarines TVs computers, tools, furniture, dress wear, foot wear and anything else their industries could produce.   

A lot has been said about the “CORRUPT” politicians of the South. Very little has been said about the “CORRUPTERS” of the North.  A corrupt “taker” can only exist if there is a corrupt “giver”…and that my friends is the real reason why the PIIGS are on the road to Zimbabwe via Athens. 

At the end of this story there will still be a EURO ZONE. But with the PIIGS out of the sty, the only thing left in the EU will be the SHIT left behind. And whether the Franco-German alliance like it or not, they will have to clean up the excrement, one way or another.
