A friend of mine sent me the following link and I wanted to share it with you. I think it brings the point home. Democracy has inherent flaws which some times can and do cause democracy to "Self-Destruct".

If that was you and me in some Islamic Nation engaging in the same behaviour what would the consenquences be? Could we invoke our right to "freedom of speech"? Makes you wonder doesn't it? Have we gone beyond the point of political correctness and we are now venturing into the new uncharted waters of "political stupidity"? U B The Judge! ReplyDeleteThe blog was trying to put a face fanaticism but one (or two, I can't tell) took the viewpoint that the images could be manipulative. As far as I'm concerned, it matters not. Stupidity and fanaticism are not exclusive to any one particular religion so the blog may be right or they could be staged because we've witnessed that tactic before. What does it matter? It's really missing the forest because of the trees as far as I'm concerned.
The real enemy is not those misguided religious fanatics in the images, the real enemies are walking among us wearing Armani suits, driving luxury cars and living in the biggest house on the block. The real enemies are those who managed to take representation away from the people and onto themselves. The real enemies are the ones who managed to buy all politicians and are slowly eroding your civil liberties away. The teal enemies are those that can create money out of thin air and lend to those who labour with their hands to earn a living at interest. The real enemies are those who have succeeded in turning 95% of the public and their unborn children into debt slaves for life. That's who the real enemies are and they are consolidating their position of power with every passing day while we debate the virtues of right versus left, republican versus democrat, conservative versus liberal, christian versus muslim.
Grow up people, you've been had.

The last two commentators made me laugh so much I got stomach cramps. You guys are in such fear of your own shadows you probably locked yourselves in a dark room conjuring up conspiracy theories to explain your brainwashed views and justify your paranoia which has consumed your life. My advise to you is talk to a psychiatrist who can prescribe you medication for your OCD. Your condition is not that uncommon. There are thousands of people walking the streets imagining aliens following them or having visions of Jesus or being abducted by aliens. Seriously I am not mocking you guys. You need help.

I read the last four comments and I must admit I am confused. I thought Dr.P. was making the point that there is a feeling out there that we have crossed the line of political correctness and we are now allowing every minority group to advance their own agenda, political social or religious while hiding behind the freedom of speech right. What he was questioning I think, and I agree totally with him/her, if we reversed the situation and they were us and we were them would we have the same right to express our views as freely and unrestricted as they do not-withstanding religion?

I agree with Tarxias. The real enemies are those who screwed up our economy and the economies of the world. Why waste time going after a few brainwashed Muslims when the real snakes are still sitting in their ivory offices on Wall Street still stealing our money, still destroying people's livelihoods while they sipping on champagne and sexing it up with $10,000 a day hookers. Fuck them and stop worrying about Muslims. There are crazy fanatics everywhere. How about going after Goldman Sachs and Wall Street snakes instead?
