Recapturing History – Repeating Its Mistakes.

Those of you who are much like me…more time on our hands than we know what to do with…lol , you ( I promise) will enjoy the following article (click on the link at the end), from the Spiegel International. The Spiegel is one of the most respected news magazines in Europe and the world over. Don’t get angry and frustrated, please read all 7 parts of the article. After that, feel free to comment and vent on my blog in the usual uninhibited uncensored way we allways do on this blog.

In one of my previous postings I had stated that “…the only thing crooks learn from their past mistakes is how to repeat them in a much bigger way”.

I had also said… "Greed is the child of corruption and wickedness. It doesn’t need to be fed in order to grow. It feeds on itself!"

Those of you who didn’t believe me and did the old …lol… chuckle chuckle…see if you are more inclined to at least consider it now.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious – obvious to at least those of us who are willing to open our eyes and look at the intentionally camouflaged realities of today.
As you read the article below pay attentions to the $ numbers stated. They’ll blow your mind.

However, a word of caution. If you have any cardiovascular problems avoid the excitement or call your doctor before reading.

Also you can entertain yourselves by going to the link Bellow. It's a journey back to the Financial Ground Zero.

Found this today on SPIEGEL ONLINE and I watched it a few times already. I think you will all enjoy it.

“A year ago, Lehman Brothers collapsed, sending shock waves around the world and bringing the global financial system close to collapse. SPIEGEL ONLINE and Reuters present an interactive timeline of key events.”

Watch the Introduction part and Timeline of Events. Very interesting. This will give you a synoptic view of what MAY still happen if we don’t change OUR ways and if we don’t make them change THEIRS .

  2. Dr. Politikong, thanks for posting the Spiegel article, it was a nice catch.

By way of suggestion however, it would have been preferable if you posted a summary of the articles learnings with a link to the original article for those interested enough to read the entire story.

Since the attention span of the average American is currently the same as that of a two year old child, my guess would be that not many will take the time to read the entire article thus your message will be lost. It's a shame but judging by the lack of comments posted so far, it's true.

Your point is well taken. Under normal circumstances I would have done just that. Past experiences, however, have taught me that when people read summaries they totally overlook the links to the full article. This particular piece was meant for people like yourself and others who are willing to read and "digest" the article in its entirety. As you may well know, “sound bites” don’t have the same impact or effect on the reader as a “full story”. Nevertheless, I do thank you for your input.
Again, your point is well taken.

  4. Ok gentlemen, what happens if these idiots go back to their old ways and as the article is suggesting that's just what they are doing; what then. Economic implosion? Do we pick these guys up and throw them over the Niagara Falls?

  5. I agree it was a long story and my attention is not what it used to be but it was worth the agony of reading it.

    Good info.

  6. Great article.

Nothing has changed, absolutely fucking nothing. If anything the leverage has gotten worse. These greedy bastards will continue to profit while they hold the world economies at ransom. Our corrupt politicians are doing nothing but roll the red carpet for them.

    This will not end well.

  7. Can some please push the "RESET" button. I'm sick and tired being raped by people who my tax dollars bailed out. I'm sick and tired of crooked politicians continuing to allow those who my children and grandchildren have gotten in debt to bailout to continue to profit from excessive risk taking.

Some please push the the RESET button.

  8. Thanks for the link to a great, scary and sickening article. I wish more people would take the time to read it. I agree with the previous poster who commented on the average American's attention span, or lack of it. Americans like to get their news in 30 second news flashes. Anything longer than that and they lose interest. I wonder if they'll stay focuses enough to understand the gravity of their situation when they find out that all their savings and 401k money is gone.

  9. Put the fuckers in jail and throw the keys away. What a scam while our elected officials continue to aid and abed them. When will this end?

  10. In regards to the other people who commented on the American's attention span. I couldn't agree more. We are a nation of people who can sit in front of a tv set and watch sports for hours non stop without saying a word to each other, but when it comes to absorbing some information such as this article we lose interest with in 30 seconds. Oops sorry make that 32 seconds. And we wonder why we are in the shit we are in.
