Guns, Guns, and Guns

The last couple of days I have witnessed the new face of American society and its desperate need for individual notoriety and identity. It is all over the news. People exercising their Constitutional right to carry guns. Their right to carry guns at a public meeting. Why do we then complain when mass killings occur? It is laughable. We are turning this nation into a third world country. This is becoming the wild wild west, La Somalie, de l'Atlantique, the American Republic of Congo.
The scary part is that these people can look straight into your eyes and tell you they see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Incredible.

For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would have the need to show up at a public meeting carrying an AR-15. Have we become that shallow of a society that we care more about our right to bear arms than the right of our citizens to have basic health care? Who are we protecting ourselves from other than each other? If we as a society have sunk so low that we need guns to protect ourselves from each other, well then, God help us!

And this is my right to freedom of speech.

  1. God help us is right. All it takes is one verbal exchange between guys with guns and those without guns to escalate it from showing off to shooting off. Then what?

Internal Memo Confirms Big Giveaways In White House Deal With Big Pharma

"A memo obtained by the Huffington Post confirms that the White House and the pharmaceutical lobby secretly agreed to precisely the sort of wide-ranging deal that both parties have been denying over the past week.

The memo, which according to a knowledgeable health care lobbyist was prepared by a person directly involved in the negotiations, lists exactly what the White House gave up, and what it got in return."

  5. The key paragraph, in case you a lazy motherfucker and don't read the story:

"It says the White House agreed to oppose any congressional efforts to use the government's leverage to bargain for lower drug prices or import drugs from Canada -- and also agreed not to pursue Medicare rebates or shift some drugs from Medicare Part B to Medicare Part D, which would cost Big Pharma billions in reduced reimbursements."

What happened to you monkey, did they buy you out or was your life threatened?

  6. No one is fooled by the fool in Chief. We understand the game in DC and it is well nigh done.

We have some extremely angry folks walking around right now. Angry at both parties. Angry at politicians...bureaucrats and lobbyists.

To hell with all of them! To hell with you too kong if you think we're becoming a 3rd world country because I'm exercising my constitutional rights.

  7. @ Politikong

Write something useful for a change FFS and stop worrying about Americans wearing guns.

    - we cannot afford any changes to health care that cost money

    - we cannot afford any more foreign wars

    - we cannot afford cap and trade

    - we cannot afford to increase our national debt every fucking quarter

    - we cannot afford to bailout banks, businesses, and everything under the sun

  8. This blog has become a FUCKING JOKE. Do your fucking research before you post crap.

Number of physicians in the US: 700,000.

Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year: 120,000.

Accidental deaths per physician: 0.171 (U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services)

Number of gun owners in the US: 80,000,000.

Number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups): 1,500.

Accidental deaths per gun owner: 0.0000188

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

  11. What's with the whole "hooray for everyone walking around with AK-47's slung over their shoulder!" stuff.

I support the right to bear arms and defend yourself, and your family and your property. But I really don't want a country where we're all packing assault rifles every on trip to the 7-11.

  12. I love guns. I've shot all my life. But there is a difference between exercising one's rights and creating a public danger.

  13. The idea is that you carry a gun so you don't have to use it.

Why do Law Enforcement personnel wear a firearm in plain view? To let citizens know that they can and will enforce the law, by all means necessary.

Why do citizens wear/bear a firearm in plain view? To let government know that they can and will enforce the law, by all means necessary.

  15. PK, it seems that I caused you a bit of an upheaval here. I don't think the visitors to your blog realized yet that I have written the article. I do not think they have realized there is more than one contributor to the blog. My apologies PK, hopefully when they notice the Contributor's name at the top of the posting they will calm down. You are taking the heat for my posting. lol
