On a serious note my friends, the fact there're actual people out there, who believe so passionately that Rush Limbaugh is the FACE of the "fiscal conservatives" - that alone, is enough to send chills down my spine. That alone, should give you reason to pause. That alone should make you think about the non-inclusive direction these neo-conservatives want to take us. I, as most of you, thought that the Hitlers, the Francos the Mussolinis and the Stalins of this world were social pollutants of the past...I guess we were all wrong. Listen to the words my friends. Focus on the meaning of those words. Feel the tension and the extreme passionate delivery of those words by their owners. Words uttered over the airwaves by the "Limbaughs" of society. Then you will surely understand what I mean. Flashbacks of nightmares past. Flashbacks of an era of oppression, discrimination, racism and ethnophobia. The same symptoms of a social disease which characterized our country for decades. Ideologies like Limbaugh’s can set us back 100 years. Ideologies like that have no place in America.
This is one of those rare moments in my life that I hope I am "wrong".
