John McCain - A Real American Hero?

A Real American Hero???
Watching Mr. Hagel’s confirmation hearings yesterday and having to listen to that imbecile John McCain with his stupid “cowboy” attitude, was enough to ruin my breakfast. I do not like anyone ruining my breakfast especially John McCain.
I have such distaste for that “self-absorbed” asshole, that I get tremors at the sound of his voice and high fever at the sight of his stupid face.  Pretentious self-righteous bastards like McCain never sit well with me.  And when pretentious self-righteous bastards like McCain become unjustifiably revered because of public gullibility and media manipulation, well... that just lights up my fuse.  I never liked McCain.  Never liked the fact that he is so undeservingly considered a “hero” and everybody puts him on such a lustrous political pulpit.  He is a fake who based his entire political career on the “maverick” perception. We all know the only reason he got out of Nam alive is because of his father’s military rank.  No one has ever pointed out any real heroic actions by this clown.  His only accomplishment was to get shot down over N. Vietnam.  His rejection of early release offered to him by the North Vietnamese was a well calculated move. When the Vietnamese  found out his father was the commander of all American forces in the Pacific, the offer was made to him but he refused it. He did so,  in the knowledge of the POW’s interpretation of the Code of Conduct.  It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be released, it was because he knew of the ramifications and perceptions such a release would have had back home. He also knew that once the N.Vs realized who his father was, his life was pretty much saved.

Yes he was tortured…but so were thousands and thousands other soldiers; many of whom paid the ultimate price…death.  Their fathers were not four star admirals. Their families did not have contacts in high places pulling strings on their behalf;  so their torture continued and those who were lucky enough to make it back home alive….well – we know the kind of reception they got.

Americans seem to have a very selective memory when it comes to their hero J. McCain.  It seems that Republicans are more than willing to forget how McCain’s  illustrious political career was achieved. Republican piety and conservative morality  didn’t apply to him.  They overlooked the fact that when still married to his first wife, he was aggressively pursuing and courting the 25 year old Cindy Lou Hensley the daughter and heiress to the Beer Barron’s dynasty. No sir those other comrades from Vietnam were not so lucky. They came back home to humiliation, cussing, resentment, and abandonment as thanks for answering the call of their country.  That is some fucking country the U.S.

So to this writer’s view  the “maverick  American Hero” was anything but that. Maybe “hero” is an entitlement of the rich. Maybe “hero” is a title you buy at Walmart or maybe “hero” is a title you inherit.   Someone please tell  exactly what the fuck did this guy do to be held in such high esteem?   What was it?

Through out his military career from day one…he was a drunk, arrogant,  plane crashing fuck up.  Before his assignment to Nam, he was nothing more than a "below average" flier,  whose recklessness as a pilot caused him to crash two of his planes in the mid-sixties and once collided with power lines. He was despised by his superiors because of his insubordinate behaviour …always breaking rules and whose class ranking was 894 out of 899 something to be really proud of.  Had it not been for his family's connections,   McCain would have likely been a “nowhere man, living in a nowhere land being a nobody”.   And yet this arrogant moron has the audacity to be judging Mr. Hagel?  I don't think so...

That's not - A Real American Hero - That is -  A Real American Shit.

Again This Is Not News…It’s American Blindness

Signing Off…Dr. Politikong.
