Q: Why Bird Watchers Only?

A: Because by the time the Republican leadership campaign is over the Shit will be flying everywhere.

In Politics when you have a candidate who is a psychopathic egomaniac and a candidate who is a Psychopathic narcissist (Newt and Romney) you get what Campaign managers call an unnecessarily prolonged and dirty campaign that makes News people drool from both sides of their mouth.  
“…I want you to remember what meant to be an American…” said Mr. Romney in his Florida Victory speech.

 Well what can I say about that?

First I don’t want to remember what it meant to be an American…and second - this is why.

1954…The CIA participated in the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Guatemala.

In 1946 – 1948 The United States intentionally infected Guatemalan soldiers, prostitutes prisoners and mental patients with syphilis and other std’s without their consent in order to test antibiotics American pharmaceutical companies were developing.

CUBA 1959…Under initiatives by the Eisenhower and Kennedy Administrations, the CIA trained Cuban anti-communist exiles and refugees to land in Cuba and attempt to overthrow the government of Fidel Castro.

IRAQ 1963… The United States backed a coup against the government of Iraq headed by General Abd al-Karim Qasim, who five years earlier had deposed the Western-allied Iraqi monarchy

VIETNAM 1964 -1975...Of course the USA military involvement in Vietnam still carries much pain for many American families and the Vets of that war are still paying the price shame and stigma of a war they fought with courage but our own government abandoned them when they came back.

GHANA 1966…On 24 February 1966, Kwame Nkrumah, the President of Ghana, was overthrown in a military coup backed by the CIA while on a state visit to North Vietnam and China.

Greece 1967 -1974...CIA helped instal the Greek Junta to power and supported the colonels until 1974.

CHILE 1973…The U.S. Government inserted CIA agents in Chile with the intention of overthrowing the legitimate government of Salvador Allende.

Consecutive USA governments were directly involved in attempts to overthrow governments in countries whose political leadership did not meet American criteria.
