Leave Afghanistan to the Afghans. Bring our soldiers home!

The Afghan war is now officially the longest war in American history.
The Afghanistan war was lost the day it began. Let us get out. Bring our men and women home and let the Afghans fight for their own democracy – assuming they want democracy.

I said it before and I will say it again. This war will be lost just like the Korean war, the Vietnam war, the Cuban fiasco the Latin and south American attempts, the Lebanon mission, the Yemen mission, Iraq and any other f…g. mission or attempted intervention.

We do not have the stomach or the necessary “lack” of conscience to fight an unconventional war. We are too civilized too moral and totally untrained and unprepared to fight an enemy who believes your death is his martyrdom. An enemy who believes that killing in the name of Allah provides him with a ticket to paradise. An enemy whose sick pathetic mind allows him to hung seven year old boys and burn young girls with battery acid for going to school.

We cannot fight an insurgency, a gorilla war fair. We cannot defeat fighters who fight on their own soil on their own terms. A war where the Geneva Convention guide book is thrown out by the road side. The gum and candy diplomacy we tried in Vietnam does not work here. It didn’t work then it is not working now. So let us cut our losses and leave. Bring our soldiers home. NOW!

An insurgent strapped with explosives on his body standing in the middle of a market does NOT give a damn about the Geneva Convention. He does not give a shit whether his victims are innocent school children, women, men, policemen or soldiers. His sociopathic behaviour is the result of an addictive cocktail of religious and cultural brain-washing. An ideology which borders perversion. You cannot defeat ideology with guns, money or chocolate. When an insurgent dies he enters paradise with seven virgins on his side. When an American soldier dies he enters a wooden box and a free flight to a cemetery in the States. Bring them home NOW! There is no such thing as fighting a “moral” war. War by virtue of its definition is immoral and illogical. Where is the morality and logic in killing another human being? Bring them home NOW! We lost. Leave Afghanistan to the Afghans. We don’t belong there and quite frankly I don’t give a damn!

This again is not News…It’s Reality!

Signing off…Dr. Politikong

Best yet. Thank you for saying what everyone thinks. You are a real American patriot. We lost enough lives. Bring the home is every parent's wish. I lost one son already don't want to lose another. Thank you Dr.P

I agree with you. Guantanamo should be shut down too. One small difference... Water boarding and throwing battery acid on school children or hanging a seven year old boy are not quite comparable are they? But they are both wrong.

Your thoughts and comments are appreciated

It is amazing there are people who compare guantanamo with Afghanistan and the Taliban. But then again if I was living in Connecticut I would probably say the same. Eeeeer no I wouldn't

Out of Afghanistan, out of Iraq, out of everywhere we don't belong. Out of Europe too. Let the Europeans spend their euros to defend their countries. Out now. Bring them home NOW is absolutely right. Thank you Kong
