Good morning Vietnam!

If anyone thinks that by putting another forty thousand American lives in Afghanistan is going to help us win the war, guess again. Remember- we started with 100 military advisors in Vietnam. By the end of that war we had over 500,000 on the ground.
These are the facts and numbers from that war:

Vietnam Statistics

Soldiers Served - 2,700,000
Soldiers killed - 58,135
Wounded - 303,616
Paralyzed - 33,000
Died/w war related problems - 111,000 (60,000 suicides)
US civilian deaths in Vietnam - 35,000 (non-combat deaths)
Missing in action - 2,500

And at the end it was all for nothing. The North Vietnamese took over the country anyway.

It does not matter how many soldiers we put on the ground WE CAN’T WIN. You cannot defeat ideology, you cannot defeat religious and cultural fanaticism, and you cannot defeat an enemy who does not abide by YOUR rules of military conduct.

An insurgent strapped with explosives on his body standing in the middle of a market does NOT give a damn about the Geneva Convention. He does not give a shit whether his victims are innocent children, women, men, policemen or soldiers. His sociopathic behaviour is a means to an end. It is not a matter of whom or how he kills…it’s how many [infidels] he kills. That is what buys him martyrdom. His ticket to paradise. His entrance into the Elysian Fields sort of speak.

So we either start fighting by their rules and hand them a total defeat or we bring our men and women home. The candy, gum and chocolate mentality of the Vietnam War does not work. Ask any Vietnam Veteran and they will tell you so. In other words nuke them or leave them. There is no such thing as fighting a “moral” war. War – by virtue of its definition is immoral and illogical. Where is the morality in killing another human being? Where is the logic in teaching one how to KILL effectively?

If we want to win and win quickly…We have to be more ruthless and more barbaric than the enemy we are fighting. We certainly did not worry about the innocent civilians when the allies sent more than 1000 planes to bomb Berlin in WW II.
We did not worry about the innocent civilians when we dropped the A-bombs on Japan.

There are only two possible outcomes once you go to war. Win or lose. There is no possible draw. Think about it. So if your intention is to win you have to rid yourself of any social and moral restrictions and kill until there is no more killing to be done. Remember War starts where logic Ends.

There are only four groups of people who have engaged or do engage in this type of military conduct.

The German Nazis – Hitler’s Ideology of racial purification

The Chinese – Always willing to go to any extremes to defend their communist ideology.

The Muslim fanatics - As required by their religious and cultural ideology.

And of course the Jews – they don’t have a choice if they want to avoid another extermination attempt on their people.

Hence it is my opinion we should get out of both theatres of war. ASAP!
